Broken Mirror, Seven Years of Bad Luck
( Not whining, just saying )
Back in 07 I came home to a broken mirror on the door in my room. My roommates told me they were hanging in there watching videos drunk wrestling around and it got smashed into. Months later, I shattered my skull on an Odyssey trip that put me into a fifteen day coma where I actually flat lined and died four times! I healed up faster than suspected and got back to BMX and all, even though my frontal lobe brain contusion kinda fucked me up. Eight months later while riding in the bike lane an old man swerved across the road and plowed over me dragging me across two lanes into a 7-11 parking lot under his jeep! This accident shattered my femur right out the back of my leg, which had to be replaced with a titanium rod screwed to my knee and hip. A couple months after that, Metal Bikes got pulled out and shut down by our main distribution and manufacturer after some of the team split due to Sean starting his own company. Seeing as he was co-sponsored by their parts company...Bye bye Metal Bikes. No hard feelings, I left my sponsor to start Metal years ago. I felt like I needed a break so I took a trip to ride S.F. and broke my ankle. After a bit, I was riding in LA for an episode of “Built to Shred” when I over shot a 360 and cracked two rocks concreted together with my head. This also split my head to the skull spraying blood all over. I just super glued it back together and kept riding. A few months later I had a crash that broke my Pelvis in half! Besides all that pain, my Father died a month later and the rest of the year sucked with too much shit to name...The New Year started and I found out I had important late mail at my old address that my old roommates never told me about. That cost me a shit load of money. Last month I had my most painful crash ever breaking three ribs and the back of my ribcage. Talk about a painful back! I woke up at 3:30 am the other night and not being able to fall back asleep due to waking up from a hard feeling that I will die this year for sure. For some stupid reason all this bullshit made me start back flipping dirt jumps last month. I’m looking forward to next year so this seven year bad luck bullshit will come to an end!
